Introducing Docker’s new CEO
On April 18th, Docker brought its community, customers, and partners together in the fourth US-based DockerCon to reflect on 4 years of success and announce Docker’s new CEO, Steve Singh (currently chairman of the board). In the past 4 years Docker has grown from 15 to over 330 talented individuals. The number of contributors to Docker has grown from 10 to over 3300. Docker is being used by millions of developers and is running on millions of servers. Branching in various sectors including, insurance, healthcare, tech, service providers, and the public sector.
Docker aspires to celebrate more future successes with its new CEO, Steve Singh, who is taking over from Ben Golub who will be moving to a role in the board of directors. In his speech Golub introduced Singh as the incredible individual and leader that he is. Highlighting the new CEO’s broad base of experience that includes founding and growing one of the most successful enterprise companies, Concur. Recently, Singh has demonstrated his considerable expertise as a member of the sap executive board serving as President of SAP Business Networks and running SAP’s largest cloud businesses.
In a comment by Charles Lorenceau managing director of ACE’s London office, and leader in our early stage investments he mentions “that with Steve Singh, a very successful tech leader at the helm of the company, Docker is best position to continue grow and dominate as the global leader in software containers.”
